Restaurant social media marketing means regular, on-brand posts, managed paid ads and profile text that helps locals find you in search. We do all three for a restaurant client, Gyro Stop, and we are straightforward about what social media can and cannot do for a place that sells food.
What we did for Gyro Stop
Gyro Stop is a restaurant client. We managed and ran ads for them, and we helped them promote the restaurant through social media SEO, content posting and organic reach.
That is the extent of what we publish. We have no results, follower numbers or sales figures to share, so we do not cite any. The full account is on the Gyro Stop page, and a longer look at the approach is in restaurant social media SEO and organic reach.
What we handle
- Ad management. Building, launching and monitoring paid campaigns. Ad spend goes to the platform and is separate from our fees.
- Content posting. A steady schedule of posts and captions in the restaurant’s voice, drawn from photos and video you send.
- Social media SEO. Usernames, profile names, bios, captions and location details written so the account can be found.
- Organic reach. Consistent posting and engagement, tested and adjusted over time.
What social media SEO actually means
It is simpler than it sounds. Instagram’s own guidance on how its search works says the text of your query is the most important signal, matched against usernames, profile names, bios, captions, hashtags and places. Its tips include using keywords and location in your bio and putting keywords in the caption, since comments do not count. For a restaurant, that means saying what kind of food you serve and where, in plain words, every time.
Commentary that hashtags matter less than they used to circulates widely, but we did not find a direct statement from Instagram, so treat it as opinion. Public posts from professional accounts can also appear in Google results, according to trade press reports on Instagram’s 2025 announcement, and account owners can opt out in settings.
Where Google Business Profile fits
Social media is one half of local discovery. According to Google Business Profile Help, local ranking rests on relevance, distance and prominence. Complete, accurate information helps, and Google states there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. Profile posts come as updates, offers and events, and posts older than six months are archived unless they carry a date range. We treat the profile as part of the plan, and we do not claim any ranking result.
| Channel | What we do | What it cannot do |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram and Facebook posts | Plan, write and publish content | Guarantee reach or followers |
| Paid ads | Build, launch and monitor campaigns | Guarantee orders or covers |
| Profile and caption text | Write for search on the platform | Control how a platform ranks you |
Not only real estate
Real estate agents and teams are our main focus, and our real estate social media service shows that side. We have also worked with another local business outside real estate. K Altman runs Glenwood Pool, a pool-service business in Augusta, Georgia. We built a conversion-focused website around local search and set up always-on, geo-targeted local marketing. The details are on the Glenwood Pool page. A restaurant and a pool-service company are different businesses, but the logic holds: be easy to find locally, and show up consistently.
How it works in practice
- Free consult. We learn what you serve, who you want to reach and what you already post.
- Profile review. We check usernames, bios, categories and location details.
- Content plan. A posting rhythm you can keep supplied with photos and video.
- Ads, if wanted. A small, tested campaign first.
- Review. We look at what people engage with and adjust.
Who this is for
- Owners who have no time to post consistently.
- Restaurants whose profiles are thin or inconsistent across platforms.
- Owners who want ads managed by someone who will report on them.
Who it is not for
- Anyone who needs on-site photo or video shoots. We work remotely.
- Anyone expecting guaranteed followers, reach or sales.
