BoldTrail vs Lofty vs GoHighLevel for Real Estate: Which CRM Fits Which Team

Part of our guide: Real Estate CRM Virtual Assistant

BoldTrail, Lofty and GoHighLevel can all run a real estate team’s follow-up, but they suit different teams. BoldTrail fits teams wanting an all-in-one real estate platform with admin controls, Lofty fits those wanting behavior-triggered follow-up with less building, and GoHighLevel fits teams ready to design their own system. None wins universally.

We manage all three for clients, so we have no reason to push one. We are also a services company, so treat our opinions as experience, not lab testing. Product facts below come from vendor documentation and are accurate as of October 2026.

How do the three compare side by side?

What does each platform actually do well?

BoldTrail, according to Inman’s June 2024 report, is the new name for Inside Real Estate’s kvCORE portfolio. Its help center documents Smart Campaigns that start on Lead is New, a hashtag, a status or a date, and admins can scope them by Company, Office, Team and Agent. That structure suits brokerages and larger teams, and it is also where drift starts if nobody owns it.

Lofty, which Chime Technologies renamed in November 2023, describes Smart Plans as multi-step workflows across email, text, calls and direct mail. Its feature page lists triggers such as listing views, favorites, valuation requests, email opens, replies and pipeline stage changes, and says a plan pauses when a lead engages. That is a vendor claim, but it matches how we have seen it used.

GoHighLevel is a general platform. HighLevel’s help center documents a Facebook Lead Form Submitted trigger that fires in real time, and an Inbound Webhook for anything else. You get a lot of room, and the cost is that nothing arrives pre-shaped for real estate.

What did we see with the Faruqi Team on BoldTrail?

The Faruqi Team, led by Ambreen Faruqi at eXp Realty NY, had a 14,000-contact BoldTrail database that was not being activated and a CRM that was half set up. We rebuilt the tagging structure from scratch and segmented the contacts by relationship type and recency before running outreach.

We also built an automation so that when we run Facebook ads for her, seller leads are imported directly into BoldTrail and the email campaign, workflow and follow-ups start automatically. The owner reports one run of 5 seller leads in a day at about $8 per lead, and the case study page lists an earlier push of 5 leads in 2 days at $15. They are separate runs and we do not call them a benchmark. Details are in how we auto-import Facebook seller leads into BoldTrail and the Faruqi Team case study.

What did we see with Tammy Theis on Lofty?

For Tammy Theis at Realty ONE Group Visionaries in Augusta, Georgia, we built her Lofty website from the ground up and managed the account: Smart Plans, automations and lead routing. We also wrote a 30-email nurture sequence engineered around Smart Plans, so follow-up triggers off behavior such as opens, clicks and replies instead of a fixed calendar.

We also set up an automation so ReferralExchange leads flow into Lofty and start the email campaign, workflow and follow-ups. Lofty’s Help Center documents ReferralExchange capture by email parsing. The Tammy Theis case study has the overview.

What did we see with the NOW Team on GoHighLevel?

The NOW Team (Hit Home Realty, led by Kacper Turek) had been using GoHighLevel as a database, not a pipeline. We rebuilt it around real pipeline stages and automations, built a dual-source FSBO funnel with Landvoice as the primary source, and wrote market-update emails by farm area. Their emails on GoHighLevel’s shared domain were landing in spam, so we worked on a dedicated sending domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC.

We also set up automation so ReferralExchange leads flow into GoHighLevel. We could find no documented native ReferralExchange integration in HighLevel, and the usual route is an email notification, a parser and a webhook or Zapier step. We are not saying that is exactly what was built. See the NOW Team case study and our GoHighLevel for real estate teams post.

Where do they differ most on Facebook lead import?

Lead import is where the three feel most different day to day. Lofty’s Help Center documents a native Facebook Lead Form Ads connection that needs admin access to the Page and ad account plus lead access, and it supports one Page per Lofty account. HighLevel’s help center documents a native integration that needs admin on both the Page and Business Manager, with a choice between syncing all leads or only new ones.

BoldTrail’s route is Zapier, and BoldTrail says only new leads are imported. The practical result is the same speed goal reached with different amounts of building. Whichever you use, permissions and expired connections are the usual cause of silent failure, so someone has to check the flow.

How should you decide? Pick X if…

Pick BoldTrail if

  • You are a team or brokerage that wants one platform with admin scoping across offices and teams.
  • You are fine with Zapier or Lead Dropbox for lead sources that are not built in.
  • Someone will own tags and campaigns, or you will hire one.

Pick Lofty if

  • You want follow-up that reacts to what a lead does, not just the calendar.
  • You want a native Facebook lead form connection and fewer pieces to build.
  • You will accept the platform’s structure rather than design your own.

Pick GoHighLevel if

  • You want to design the pipeline yourself, or run real estate alongside property management or other lines.
  • You can budget for setup: sending domain, text registration and workflow testing.
  • You are comfortable that nothing is pre-built for real estate.

Pick none of them yet if

  • Your current CRM is messy but capable. Moving a messy database into a new CRM just relocates the mess.
  • Nobody will own the system. That is the most common reason any of them fails.

What about price and switching?

We do not quote vendor prices because they change and depend on plan, team size and add-ons. Ask each vendor for a written quote with add-ons and usage listed. For example, HighLevel documents that its Inbound Webhook is a premium trigger with execution billing, so automation can carry its own cost. Also count the cost of the person who runs the system, because that often outweighs the license.

Before you switch, confirm that you can export your data and what the contract says. Moving platforms means rebuilding tags, campaigns and lead routing. Our broader guide to choosing a real estate CRM covers Follow Up Boss too.

Frequently asked questions

BoldTrail (formerly kvCORE) and Lofty (formerly Chime) are real estate platforms, while GoHighLevel is a general marketing and CRM platform that you configure for real estate. They differ mainly in automation style, lead import options and how much setup the team must do.

Not universally. GoHighLevel is more flexible but you build the pipelines and automations yourself, while BoldTrail and Lofty come with real estate features already in place. The better choice depends on your lead sources, team size and who will maintain the system.

There is no vendor-neutral measure, so this is our experience: Lofty usually needs the least building, BoldTrail has more admin structure to learn, and GoHighLevel needs the most setup because you design it. A good setup matters more than the product.

Yes, by different routes. Lofty and GoHighLevel document native Facebook lead form connections. For BoldTrail we could not find a native connector for your own forms as of October 2026, but its help center documents Zapier as the route.

Yes. We manage all three for real estate clients, covering tagging, automations, lead import, email campaigns and daily follow-up. Licensed work such as negotiation and pricing advice stays with the agent.
